Why spend so much on computer software and games or on the latest DVD movies and CDs if you can get them (pirated, that is) for less than a hundred bucks in Quiapo and select stores that sell a gamut of reproduced stuff? You can even download them for free off the Internet.

After all, That's what the Internet is for - to make our lives easier and everything virtually accessible.

Robot Soccer Competition @ SISRA
Congratulations for the successful celebration of the 20th Founding Anniversary of San Isidro San Roque Academy (SISRA).

As part of the celebration, a Robot Soccer Competition led by Mr. Bryan Laberinto was held in partnership with Genetic Computer Institute. The competition aimed to promote robotics technology to students and how they will enjoy it. Students from other schools in Meycauayan such as Meycauayan College, Montessori de Sto. Niño and Shepherd School also participated as contestants. This builds up camaraderie among neighboring schools.

Each team is composed of 3 members. Each member handles the remote control that directs the action of one of the robots. The objective of the game, like an ordinary soccer game, is for the players to bring the ball to their goal. The players are given 10 minutes to rock the playfield.

The competition started with the Elementary level. After several matches, Meycauayan College emerged to be the winners. For the High School level, Montessori de Sto. Niño managed to defend their title as the champion for Robot Soccer after a close fight with SISRA.

At the end of the competition, nobody was considered loser because everybody enjoyed the game. We hope that this competition made its way to encourage students and school administrators to welcome robotics and be updated with the development of technology.
